Our Team
Cyrus is the owner and founder of Eco Valley Lawn Care. After obtaining a degree from Umass Amherst with a dual focus on Spanish language studies and business management, he spent two years teaching English in Spain. After returning home, he was eager to pivot to a career that would allow him to combine his passions for entrepreneurship, team-leadership, environmental activism and staying active outdoors. This all culminated in the founding of the company in 2021. Now, with over five years of direct experience in hands-on landscape maintenance positions and over two years in the development and management of Eco Valley, Cyrus is well versed in what it takes to run and grow a landscaping business that delivers top-notch results to its customers. Cyrus currently serves as Eco Valley’s CEO. In this role he is responsible for steering the overall mission and vision of the business, motivating and training employees for continual professional development, sales, and overseeing day-to-day operations along with the Operations Manager.
Sim is the operations manager at Eco Valley Lawn Care and has been with the company for one year. He comes from a background of aerospace, machining and a life of working in many trades, and brings a craftsman’s attention to detail to the field of property maintenance. In his free time he enjoys movies, video games and riding his large mountain bike here in his hometown of Northampton or whilst exploring the country.
As Eco Valley’s very first official employee, Luke Deroy has been with the company since its inception. After gaining much valuable experience landscaping for family and friends during his adolescence, Luke made his first official foray into the green industry when he landed a job managing turf for Hickory Ridge Golf Club in South Amherst. He then moved on to pursue other passions. Having studied songwriting at Berklee School of Music, and more recently obtaining his undergraduate degree in trauma and addiction psychology from Umass Amherst, Luke brings a diverse set of skills to the table. His reliability, creativity, and high level of care for both customers’ landscapes and his coworkers’ wellbeing make him an indispensable addition to the business
My primary passion is in music, specifically guitar. I enjoy playing rock, Latin and classical guitar. Being Dominican and Mexican, it is important to me to share some of those cultures through music. Along with being a practicing musician I enjoy spending as much time as I can in nature in any capacity including but not limited to hiking & working outdoors. I like to think I’m great at working together with this crew and enjoy learning from one another as the company grows.
I love wrestling and premier soccer and I have been landscaping for well over 10 years. I love making customers’ visions come to life.
